All right my Darklings! This is my last post of the day! It’s been a big day if you’re a skull loving (#DiaDeMuertos), ravenous reader wanna be writer (#NationalAuthorsDay), Vegan (#WorldVeganDay) like me! So with that, I wanted to post a couple of images from my Vegan Travels. I usually don’t remember to take pictures of my food, but these were memorable!
The first image is from a Vegan Buddhist Restaurant in China where they practice Ahimsa*. Points if you can name the character on my shirt! The second is the Vegan Birthday Cake my travel group surprised me with in India this year! So yummy! Even my non-vegan cohorts ate a slice! And the last was the Vegan Cheat Sheet my friend wrote in Chinese for me so I could make sure none of the following ingredients were in my food whilst in China. She listed everything from milk to snake! And lastly, two of my favorite vegan chefs – Vegan Black Metal Chef with his Seitanic Spelbook and Chef Chloe Coscarelli who is always a favorite on Cupcake Wars!
Yum and Good Day to you! I said Good Day!
Ahimsa is one of the cardinal virtues and an important tenet of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Ahimsa is a multidimensional concept, inspired by the premise that all living beings have the spark of the divine spiritual energy; therefore, to hurt another being is to hurt oneself.
